Account deletion
Last updated: August 14, 2026
You can delete your The Rooster account yourself. Open the app, tap your profile icon, then tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
How to delete your account
- Open The Rooster on iOS, Android, or the web app.
- Sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Tap or click your profile icon.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the summary of what will be removed, then confirm.
Once you confirm, the account is removed and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in
Email [email protected] from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may ask a question to confirm you own the account before we act.
Before you delete
- Directors: if you have an event in progress, transfer or finish it first. Deleting your account affects your access to events you manage.
- Payments: completed payments, payouts, and refunds have their own records. Stripe and tax rules may require us to keep transaction records after your account is gone.
- Teams: if you are a team captain, hand the team to another player so the roster is not stranded.
What happens to your data
Your account and profile are removed. Some records that are not personal, such as game results tied to an event, may remain part of that event's history. Records we must keep for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons are kept for as long as the law requires. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Deleting the app is not the same
Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account. Use the steps above so the account itself is removed.
